If the heat exchanger is subjected to an excessive volume flow, damage may be caused to the internal tubing. This so-called “overdrive” can be avoided by a measurement of the volume flow. At the same time, this information can be used for more precise adjustment to the requirements of the refrigeration system.

Cofely Refrigeration can measure the volume flows in the filled pipes exactly, quickly and simply with the help of portable ultrasonic flow rate metering devices. The heat volumes can also be calculated – with the help of the flow volume and the temperatures at the inlet and the outlet. The set-up only takes a few minutes and no physical connection with the piping is necessary.
